The top pond continues to fish very well. Colin Jones totalled 13 fish from a number of evening visits, Ken Bowring netted 11 fish from 2 day sessions, with fishing colleague Roger Martin adding another 10 fish to his season's total. Another evening fisherman, Brian Wareham returned with a 5-fish total, while 4 fish were caught by Terry O'Connor andPhil Harper, again during late sessions. Association president Martyn Williams caught his 4 trout over 1 visit including an excellent specimen rainbow of 3lb 3oz. Dave Arlotte also landed 4 trout. A brace of rainbows were netted by Adrian Moyse and day ticket holder Roy Jones, and also by day ticket visitor Tom Hughes. Amongst other anglers finding top pond fish were Dave Howells, Dean Connelly, Ian Hewitt, Ivor Thomas, Mike Burge, Huw Davies and R. Harris. Fish have been caught mainly on Diawl Bachs, but Damsels, Green and Black Montanas and Viva patterns, plus Black Spiders have also proved effective. On the bottom pond, Ken Pascoe landed 7 fish from the bank, Steve Mitchell caught 3 rainbows. Dave Arlotte added a brace of bottom pond fish to his top pond catch, with Gareth West also netting 2 fish. Bank fishing also provided Keith Higgins, Dave Howells and Mark Southwood with fish. Boat anglers have also continued to find the bottom pond productive with Keith Higgins and Shaun Cotterell each netting 13 fish over 2 sessions, Ken Pascoe adding another 7 fish to his bank return, and Craig Bowles recording a 4-fish return. Other boat users registering catches included Howard Davies and Gareth Williams.
The weekend on the bottom pond, saw regular boat fisherman, Ken Pascoe record another catch and release limit, while around the banks, Steve Curtis caught 2 good rainbows when fishing an Orange Blob in Pipe Bay. Stocking officer Steve Kean and permit holder Wynne Jones also recorded bottom pond bank catches. On the top pond, a combination of Blobs and Damsel Nymphs provided Adrian Moyse with a 5-fish return, including a specimen rainbow of 3lb 6oz when he fished at the mid-point of the Railings Bank. Another good fish weighing 3lb 9oz was caught by Colin Jones in a catch of 4 trout from the Railings Bank, all to Diawl Bach patterns. Terry O'Connor, Gwyn Davies, Ivor Thomas and Adrian Connor also registered top pond catches with the latter landing a blue trout in excess of 2lb from the Hedge Bank with a goldhead Buzzer the effective fly. Both ponds have received a further stocking with rainbow trout averaging 2lb.
