Blackdyke Trout Fishery, Norfolk
Thank you to all the brave folks that came to our Fur and Feather event on Sunday. It was certainly freezing and half the lake iced over but it was a wonderful turn out and great company. Most fish caught went to young Martin Matthews who landed 5 during competition time (and a further 2 when we were having tea and mince pies). Largest fish caught by Alan Bath, a 4lb rainbow on his second cast.

Packington Trout Fishery, Warwickshire
Last week there were 14 rods caught 32 fish for an average of 2.28. It was a bitterly cold week at the fishery and for the early part, the lakes were completely frozen. A combination of slightly milder weather and the aerator working allowed Cocks Close to be ice free by the weekend. The biggest fish of the week was an 11lb rainbow caught by Jac Coetzee from Greatworth who fished the bank of Cocks Close and he took it on a blue-flash lure. Mr M. Price of Coventry caught and returned 9 fish from the bank of Cocks Close and these all fell to a Cat’s Whisker. Dave Hancox of Coventry fished the same way and caught and returned 8 fish. The Fishery will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
