The UK Game Fair - Focus on Fishing

The UK Game Fair is bringing fishing back to the heart of the game fair – where it belongs – with its Focus on Fishing area.  Here’s what’s on offer for anglers at Stoneleigh this July:
Live fishing
Trout fishing will take place on the lake, which will be stocked to ensure that youngsters can catch that all-important first fish. They may even catch it on the fly they tied for themselves at the FGD fly tying centre. Live coarse fishing will take place on the river, where tutorials will be given by experienced professionals.
Meet the Stars
Expert advice and informal chats, all in the Focus on Fishing area with top names Charles Jardine, Des Taylor, John Tyzack, Andy Smith, Steve Crowley, Nick Roberts, Stener Skogmo, Chris Ogborne, Terry Bumford and more!
Demo programme
There will be a totally new approach to fishing demos, with an interactive programme as well as a visual feast of casting and fishing skill displays.

Top professionals in all disciplines will be on hand and there will be something for everyone, from beginners and raw novices right through to the near-expert looking to polish their skills.
Kayak experience
Kayaking is the latest and coolest branch of fishing, and at the Kayak Experience there will be the chance for fishing enthusiasts of all ages to sample the delights of kayaking. Fully qualified professional BCU tutors will get you afloat with confidence and show you how to get into surf, sport, leisure and adventure paddling, as well as fishing. Kayak expert Byron Baker Brown will be on hand to make sure this is an experience to remember.
The fly tying challenge
Managed by the Fly Dressers Guild and in association with the famous British company Turrall, there will be something for all levels of ability, incorporating all elements of the art of tying a fly. The special FDG competition for children is always a huge success and all competitions have fantastic prizes on offer.
Plus – The Advice Centre
The social hub of Focus on Fishing, holding specifically tailored events each day including clinics covering knots and rigs, lines and braids and The Next Generation initiative to help youngsters get into fishing.
